Your new role:

  • Develop and implement an effective group program which is informed by the Inner West Practice Domains
  • Deliver evidence- based group treatment and interventions that support consumers with complex mental health related needs and their families/carers
  • Engage clinical community staff to support delivery of the group program and negotiate with program managers regarding time contributions to the group program.
  • Assist in building a positive culture and remain positive in a changing environment.
  • Communicate effectively with consumers, families/carers, colleagues and other service providers

About You

  • At least 5 years of experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of severe mental illness and psychiatric disability (7 years for Social Work)
  • Experience in the development, delivery, and evaluation of group programs in mental health settings
  • Extensive experience working in recovery focussed mental health services is an essential prerequisite for this role.
  • Experience and knowledge in development of services that are trauma informed and competent.
