We are a designated state-wide provider for services including trauma, and we lead centres of excellence for tertiary services in several key specialties including neurosciences, nephrology, oncology, cardiology and virtual health.

Your new team

The Victorian Centre for Excellence in Eating Disorders (CEED) is a state-wide program of Victoria’s Specialist Mental Health system offering clinical leadership to clinicians and services caring for people experiencing eating disorders, and their families. We are an inclusive, innovative multidisciplinary team that strives support skilled, compassionate eating disorders treatment through clinical consultation support, service development support, workforce capability building, and clinical resource development

Your success in this role, will be in your ability to:

  • Provide secondary case consultation services with proficient clinical expertise in the assessment, treatment and delivery of targeted interventions to consumers with eating disorders and their family/carers
  • Establish and/or provide group case consultation with clinicians of Victoria’s mental health services
  • Plan and coordinate education and training programs for the Victoria’s health clinicians
  • Lead / co-facilitate training of core CEED trainings (e.g. FBT-AN, CBT-E, CBT-GSH, SSCM) and other service specific trainings
  • Facilitate and participate in the development, implementation and monitoring in eating disorders policy, procedures and planning across the state and in specific regions
  • Advise services on new treatment programs and best practice standards

Your Contribution

  • You are a senior clinician with at least 5 years’ clinical experience in the mental health field; or family therapist with an interest in eating disorders in children and youth
  • You will have proficient experience and knowledge in the provision of evidence-based treatment for children and youth, experiencing eating disorders
  • You will have some experience in clinical case consultation, clinical supervision or mentoring of other health professionals
  • You will have some experience in or aptitude for adult learning and professional development for health professionals
  • You will have some experience in or aptitude for service development, implementation of service changes or project based work
  • You possess knowledge of contemporary concepts, frameworks and policy in mental health practice
