The successful candidate will need to be comfortable with engaging with stakeholders at all levels of government, organisations, as well as external businesses (program participants) and business recovery advisers, many of which have competing interests and requirements.
Experience working with or extensive knowledge of Indigenous peoples, organisations, representative bodies, or communities.
Strong cultural competency and ability to engage with Indigenous people in a culturally appropriate manner.
Ability to provide advice and strategic direction to support the needs of Indigenous owned businesses.
Experience in program/project coordination.
Excellent verbal and written skills.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously.
Functional knowledge of databases preferred (training will be provided).
Ability to work under pressure and meet stringent deadlines.
Qualification in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred).
Be a part of our friendly, hard-working team in this fixed-term program position. This role will run until the conclusion of the program on 30 May 2022.
Preferred candidate will be an Aboriginal and/or a Torres Strait Islander person. This is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander identified role, and preference will be given to applicants of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent. Exemption is claimed under S21 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977. In the circumstance that there are not suitable Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants, then applications from non-Indigenous applicants will be considered.
