The Family Foundations Practitioner will provide relationship strengthening and co-parenting education and support to a range of clients using the Family Foundations Model. The position requires a commitment to flexible working hours with some capacity for evening work

Your new role

As a Family Foundations Practitioner you will be responsible for:

  • Providing high quality relationship strengthening and co-parenting education through the Family Foundations manulaised program model to couples in their homes or via a virtual platform.
  • Undertaking Family Foundations accredited training and participation in ongoing consultation, review and quality development initiatives.
  • Maintaining professional client records and participation in the data collection and evaluation requirements
  • Actively participating in service promotion and marketing initiatives

What you’ll need to succeed

To be successful with Merri you will go above and beyond to achieve great results for our clients, the organisation and yourself. We’re looking for individuals with:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Welfare Work and/or Couples Counselling.
  • Experience providing relationship support/counselling and/or parenting support/education
  • Demonstrated experience of working with and engaging vulnerable families with complex needs such as family violence, drug and alcohol and mental health issues.
  • Experience working with parents who are expecting a child or who have a child under 12 months
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and use own initiative
