Your new role

As a HARP Respiratory Physiotherapist will be responsible for:

  • Organising and implementation of the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program, Home based Exercise programs, an airways clearance clinic and managing a client case load
  • Providing a high standard of clinical care for clients with Chronic Respiratory Disease in accordance with best practice guidelines including Respiratory specialist assessment and appropriate escalation of care, education, care planning and referrals.
  • Improve self-management and health outcomes through provision of education on: anatomy and physiology of relevant lung condition, symptom recognition, breathing techniques and exercise tolerance, using advanced clinical assessment and specialist advice

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy and a current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA).
  • A commitment to Merri Health values and philosophy, and ability to engage in the enhancement of Merri Health culture in meeting organisational objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability working in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated experience in client-centred care through effective respiratory assessment, care planning, case conferencing review and escalation of care for clients.
  • Qualification and/or previous experience working with chronic respiratory disease.
