Reporting to one of the Directors, you will be responsible for:

  • The operational and strategic direction of the HR portfolio (and overall HR/IR leadership)
  • The performance and development of a high-calibre team of 10
  • Supporting your team to assist the workforce for queries and concerns relating to their contracts or pay, and to take responsibility for raising contracts, contract amendments, adherence to fair work, leave management etc.
  • Supporting your team to deliver on recruitment outcomes, on-boarding, inductions, visa requirements, probation processes etc.
  • Supporting your team to conceptualise and roll out group performance and training plans
  • Providing ongoing advice to the ELT to educate and inform of potential people impacts linked to organisational strategy
  • Driving a number of important initiatives; owning imminent EBA negotiations with union, facilitating org-wide remuneration review, implementing a robust hiring and retention strategy including the introduction of an employee value proposition
  • Supporting and coaching middle and senior management for ER related requirements (case management, grievances, disciplinaries, performance, etc.)
  • General leadership coaching
  • Ensuring internal policies and procedures are up to date and aligned with legislative requirements and organisational best-practice
  • Workforce planning, performance appraisals, career / performance development and succession planning
  • Representing the organisation in industrial relations matters when required
