About Our Client

The Smith Family is a national, independent children's charity helping disadvantaged Australians to get the most out of their education, so they can create better futures for themselves. In partnership with Michael Page, they are seeking a Project Coordinator, Community Hubs to join their growing team. Reporting to the Project Manager, Communities for Children, you will be Working with a place based project supporting migrant families and their children to connect with school and community and working with schools involved in the National Community Hubs Australia Programs, contributing to The Smith Family's vision.

Job Description

A day in the life of their Project Coordinator, Community Hubs might look like this, but every day can be different. Primarily, you will be responsible for:

  • Operational and practice support for Hub Support Coordinators.
  • Operational support and assistance to Victorian Operations.
  • Support for the Hub Support Coordinators in developing effective and positive relationships.
  • Preparation of administrative and reporting requirements for the project.
  • Collaboratively contribute to the development of Quality Frameworks and evidence based practices.
  • Work across Eastern, Western and Central Melbourne regions.

The Successful Applicant

It takes a special kind of person to be their Project Coordinator, Community Hubs. The successful candidate will bring the following:

  • Tertiary qualification in Education, Health, Early Childhood, Human Services or related discipline.
  • Experience or interest in working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting teams using a strengths based mentoring and coaching approach.
  • Knowledge and experience in supporting the delivery of place based and outcomes driven programs and/or practices.
  • Full current Victoria Driver Licence or ability to receive one before the role commences.
