Job Description

  • Lead the delivery of the key initiative outcomes and guiding principles of the Communities for Children FP Brimbank as determined by the funding agreements and guidelines provided by the Department of Social Services (DSS)
  • Manage CfCFP local governance through the effective establishment and engagement of the Communities for Children Committee
  • Manage effectively the financial arrangement and requirements for the Brimbank CfCFP site, including budgets, monitoring expenditure and financial reports
  • Ensure Community Partners are connected with the wider Brimbank CfCFP initiative and are effectively engaging the target clients in services (incl: referrals)
  • Develop team members capability to perform current and future roles at The Smith Family
  • Local Representation - In collaboration with the General Manager ensure that TSF is represented and promoted in the local community and that a clear, consistent and aligned message and image of TSF is presented

The Successful Applicant

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and existing relationships in Brimbank with a range of stakeholders including but not limited to community organisations, local business and government services
  • Demonstrated experience in leading the scoping, design and implementation of strategic community projects
  • Demonstrated high level experience in project management including financial, contractual and report writing
  • An extensive knowledge of the pathways available for vulnerable families
  • Capacity to identify and analyse opportunities, exercise judgement and make decisions in a community setting
