About the role

Wellways is seeking Casual Support Workers to join our team. To Wellways, a Support Worker is as unique and individual as the participants they support. They come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, but they share a common passion. Our participant is a lovely professional gentleman with a spinal cord injury who requires assistance with personal care. This is an ongoing program 7 days a week that requires someone with the flexibility to work early shifts 0630-0830. There are also other opportunities in other suburbs for the right applicant.

What do you need?

  • Ideal candidate will have experience in supporting someone with a Spinal Cord Injury and providing bowel care, training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services or related fields (an advantage but not mandatory)
  • A current valid Driver's License and a registered, insured vehicle (is not required for Ultimo participant)
  • Satisfactory Police Records Check [less than 12 months old]
  • Satisfactory Working with Children Check
  • Current First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain one.
  • NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) Workers Check (NDISWC)
  • NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) Worker Orientation Module Certificate
