The Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (CMHWS) is a new initiative to meet the increased demand for mental health services as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The service delivers wellbeing supports tailored to a person’s individual needs from early intervention to specialist referrals. CMHWS provides support to people of all ages experiencing psychological distress or mental ill health.
We are seeking an empathetic, resilient Community Mental Health Practitioner - Peer Practitioner for a 10 month fixed term, part time (23 hours per week) opportunity to work in the Melbourne metro area. Working from home, you will utilise lived experience of mental ill health and recovery to provide positive, person-centred outreach services to support clients achieve their wellbeing and My Better Life goals. As this position requires travel across the Melbourne metro area a fleet car or allowance is provided.
