Mind Australia is one of the country’s leading community-managed specialist mental health service providers with a range of residential, mobile outreach, centre based and online services. We have been supporting people living with the day-to-day impacts of mental illness, as well as their families, friends and carers for over 40 years.
We provide practical and motivational support that helps people to develop the skills they need to move on, thrive and improve the quality of their lives. It’s an approach to mental health and wellbeing that looks at the whole person in the context of their daily life. Mind is committed to diversity and social inclusion.
The Rockingham Sub-Acute Short Stay service is residential service delivered in partnership with Southern Metropolitan Health Service and Access Housing. The service offers short term, recovery-focused residential care for people who are either leaving acute mental health care or who would benefit from 24 hour support to avoid hospital admission. The focus is on recovery, promoting self-education and linkages to the community to support individuals and their families heal from the effects that mental health issues can have on people’s lives.
We are seeking resilient, compassionate Community Mental Health Practitioners for casual opportunities to work on a 24/7 rotating roster within a close knit team in the Rockingham area. You will play an integral role in delivering person-centred, recovery-orientated care and assist clients to recover from mental health challenges by developing life skills.
