Haven; Home, Safe and Mind Australia have formed a consortium to assist people experiencing homelessness to transition from temporary hotel accommodation into housing as part of the Victorian Government’s From Homelessness to a Home (H2H) program. The H2H initiative is an opportunity to make a lasting impact on homelessness and rough sleeping in Victoria.
We are seeking an empathic, resilient Housing & Recovery Coordinator - Peer Practitioner for a 6 month fixed term, full or part time (30 hours per week) opportunity to make an impact on homelessness in the Geelong area. Working from home, you will use your lived experience of mental ill health and recovery to deliver recovery-orientated outreach supports to clients to enable obtainment of affordable housing, promote health and wellbeing, and provide holistic services to prevent a return to rough sleeping. As this position requires travel within the Geelong region a fully maintained company car is provided.
