About the role

The Human Resources Operations business unit, as part of the People Experience stream, provides HR Business Partnering, Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW), Recruitment and HR Information Systems services. The focus of HR is to provide support, consistent and timely advice, policies and procedures, business processes, HR systems and continuous improvement strategies to enable efficient, effective management of services and a flexible, agile workforce to ensure the organisation is financially sustainable, safe and technologically enabled.

We are seeking a high-performing, experienced Senior Manager, Human Resources Operations for a challenging 5 year fixed term, full time opportunity to work at our Central Office in the Heidelberg area. With work from home options, you will lead a dedicated team and drive timely, effective delivery of HR support services across the organisation including advice, processes, policies, strategies, workforce management, recruitment, HSW practice and HR systems.

Key responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the business to design and provide contemporary HR support services, processes, polices and systems to ensure financial sustainability and achievement of objectives.
  • Support the HR Partners to facilitate and coordinate industrial and employee relations advice, performance management, workforce planning and change management strategies.
  • Lead remuneration and employment contract management ensuring adherence to awards, industrial agreements and legislative requirements.
  • Assist Recruitment to develop and deliver sustainable recruitment, onboarding and induction processes.
  • Ensure Health, Safety & Wellbeing frameworks are in place to provide a consistent, organisation wide approach to workplace safety and incident management.

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary degree qualifications in Human Resources Management, Labour & Industrial Relations, Organisational Behaviour, Psychology or other related field.
  • Significant experience in a senior generalist HR role in a complex environment with understanding of the NDIS, Community Services, Mental Health, Housing, Healthcare or Government sectors is desirable.
  • Proven capability to interpret, implement and guide HR policy and procedures, industrial instruments, enterprise agreements, salary classification, contractual matters, risk management and legislative application.
  • Expertise in leading industrial and employee relations, employment management, workforce planning, change management, HSW practice, recruitment, onboarding and HR systems.
  • Ability to consult, advise, negotiate and build cooperative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
