Mind Australia is one of the country’s leading community-managed specialist mental health service providers with a range of residential, mobile outreach, centre based and online services. We have been supporting people living with the day-to-day impacts of mental illness, as well as their families, friends and carers for over 40 years.
We provide practical and motivational support that helps people to develop the skills they need to move on, thrive and improve the quality of their lives. It’s an approach to mental health and wellbeing that looks at the whole person in the context of their daily life. Mind is committed to diversity and social inclusion.
Mind Australia, in partnership with MacKillop Family Services, VACCA and Eastern Health’s Child and Youth Mental Health Services deliver the Keep Embracing Your Success (KEYS) model in Eastern metropolitan Melbourne. This is a holistic, therapeutic program working with young people aged 13-16 years who experience complex emotional and behavioural difficulties and currently in, or are likely to be placed in, residential care. The KEYS service is a new approach to supporting highly vulnerable young people in the out-of-home care system, who exhibit very complex, risky and challenging behaviours.
We are seeking a compassionate, experienced Senior Mental Health Clinician for full time, 18 month fixed term opportunity (possibility of an extension) to work within an innovative new program in the Eastern suburbs. You will demonstrate clinical leadership and utilise expertise in delivering meaningful evidence based, time limited psychological therapies adjusted to be responsive to the individual needs of young people.
