About the role

Headspace, in partnership with Mind, aims to promote and facilitate improvements in the mental health, social wellbeing and economic participation of young people aged 12 - 25 years residing in the North Eastern suburbs. Services in this youth friendly space are delivered across 4 core streams, primary health care, mental health, alcohol and other drugs and social/vocational to improve access for young people to mental health programs as well as ensuring better co-ordination between providers.We have a permanent, full time opportunity for a resilient, motivated Senior Team Leader/ Clinical Lead in the Headspace Centre located in the Greensborough and Plenty Valley area. You will play an integral role in the operational success of Headspace and inspire a dynamic team of Allied Health professionals to ensure high quality services are delivered to young people and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and model effective practice to ensure delivery of safe, effective recovery orientated care to clients, families and carers.
  • Guide a high performing team by engaging staff, setting clear direction and performance expectations.
  • Collaborate with a range of services and the community to ensure a co-ordinated response to client’s recovery goals.
  • Deliver targeted and integrated case managed responses to clients by holding a reduced caseload.
  • Manage and be accountable for achievement of service performance and budget targets.

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate IV) in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or other health-related field.
  • Expertise in working with people with mental health issues, complex needs and interacting with families and carers.
  • Proven leadership and management skills to develop a team to achieve quality service outcomes and ability to provide professional supervision.
  • Successful track record in successful relationship development and strategic partnerships.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritise customer service delivery requirements.
