About the role

The Research, Advocacy & Policy Development Business Unit is a new function within Mind and has a national focus, it provides strategic and operational leadership for investment in research, evaluation and policy advocacy program. In line with a growth strategy, Research & Advocacy is responsible for developing and delivering on a five-year plan for advocacy and social change.

We are seeking a self-motivated, high performing Tender Writer for 3 year fixed term, full time or part time (4 days per week) opportunity based at our Heidelberg office with the flexibility of working from home. You will project manage and write major tenders to increase organisational sustainability as well as be responsible for producing competitive bids and identifying future pipeline opportunities to extend our service profile.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice and lead bid management and processes to optimise shared decision making, risk management and due diligence.
  • Lead end to end preparation of tender submissions including co-ordination, project management, quality assurance and writing.
  • Ensure project reporting is consistent and includes risk management, budget allocation, resourcing, and delivery methods.
  • Ensure rapid response to planned and opportunistic business development activities.
  • Assist with sector analysis, identifying service gaps and development of new programs and opportunities for growth with Senior Leadership.

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary degree qualifications in Business, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or other related field as designated by Mind.
  • Proven experience in business development and track record in securing Government, philanthropic and other sources of funding.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with ability to engage and negotiate across a wide stakeholder group.
  • Understanding of the Community Services, Healthcare and Not for Profit sectors.
  • Highly developed organisational and time management skills and capability to use initiative and creativity.
