The Partnership And Linkage Service (PALS) is a social and recreational program where Volunteers are matched with an individual experiencing mental ill health and social isolation. The program focuses on enhancing a client’s recovery journey by providing personalised 1:1 support, building positive relationships, growing confidence, developing community connections, and encouraging participation in social and recreational activities. Volunteers can come from all walks of life with a strong commitment to valuing and supporting diversity of experience, companionship and connection.
We are seeking resilient, compassionate Volunteers for a 12 month commitment (2 hours per fortnight) to support people experiencing mental ill health in the Melbourne metropolitan area. You will foster warm, enriching relationships with people to support their recovery journey and assist them to participate in social and recreational activities, create connections with the community and develop social and daily living skills.
