An inspiring Leader is sought to be the Coordinator for Louisa Domestic Violence Service in Queanbeyan NSW, a short commute from ACT.
We are a proactive organisation in this region for over 40 years upholding Molonglo Support Service’s mission to support people experiencing difficulties due to homelessness and domestic and family violence by providing responsive interventions and crisis support.
As the Coordinator of Louisa Domestic Violence Service (full time 38 hours per week), you will be leading a high-performance team of 10 people (part-time, casual and volunteers) undertaking a range of services including:
In this exciting role, you will be responsible for the supervision and support of a small team of caseworkers. You will oversee client services, integrated case management and actively assist caseworkers within your team with the management of complex clients in the broader service system. This position participates in the leadership group within the organisation so experience in managing people and collaborating with peers on projects and strategic initiatives would be desirable. You would be available to provide comprehensive case consultation and debriefing within an intersectional feminist framework and trauma informed lense.
Proven leadership in a small to medium sized Community organisation would be highly regarded as would a track record of success in working in a leadership role supporting survivors of domestic and family violence. Being able to think clearly when challenged with conflicting priorities arise, ability to manage complex issues, and to demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence and self-reflection to manage professional challenges.
Ideally you will have knowledge and previous experience working in Domestic and Family Violence, with a relevant qualification such as Social Work, Community Development, Management and Leadership or similar and a genuine interest in working for a community service organisation.
We provide a comprehensive orientation program, best practice clinical supervision, professional development that includes vicarious trauma and case management training along with critical incident de-briefing along with EAP, HR and WHS programs to support you.
You will receive an award starting salary at level 6 Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (SCHCADS) which is negotiable depending on experience and skill set.
