  • Casey Hospital provides services specific to younger women and vulnerable women through our young women’s clinic

The Maternity Ward provided a multidisciplinary team environment where midwives work alongside, lactation consultants, physiotherapists, Neonatal medical and nursing specialists.

A day in the life of an Associate Manager at Monash Medical Centre

Our leadership team are currently looking to role model and mentor Midwives that are looking to grow their career down a leadership pathway. They love coming to work everyday to be able to ensure that our women are receiving safe, women centred care across the full scope of maternity care. You’ll enjoy the variety and challenge that comes from working with likeminded skilled senior staff and clinical mentors, while being supported by others across the program and across our large, complex health service.

As a Registered Midwife, you have been able to work across a full scope of practice or at a minimum and are now ready to take the next step in your career. We are a collaborative service across Monash Women’s, and our Maternity services have opportunities to grow and provide women centred care.

We work within a team model of care - and in practicing within this model, we provide our women and their families, a consistency across their journey.

Our positions are ongoing and we offer both full time and part time, working across a 24/7 rotating roster, including weekends and Night Duty

What you Bring:

You are a Registered Midwife with a positive attitude who loves to laugh and enjoys being at work with likeminded midwives. You share this passion with your women to support them through what should be the most joyful experience in their family life. This is why you chose to be a midwife! You wish to share your skills and knowledge with others and lead an amazing team which is why you want this opportunity.

Along with this, you have proven experience working in an Acute Maternity service and have demonstrated skills and knowledge in antenatal / post natal and birth suite as a minimum.

You are driven and value consistent quality improvement across the service and bring with you, some creative ideas and passion to implement across the service. Above all, you look forward to growing your career with the support of amazing mentors and educators within our highly skilled broader Maternity team.

As a minimum you can demonstrate:

  • FSEP level 3 certification
  • Proven clinical experience across Maternity Services
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Australian working rights
