A day in the life of a Registered Nurse at CCU

Our Community Care Unit (CCU) in East Bentleigh is a 20 bed residential facility that provides a client focused recovery and rehabilitation program within a community setting. CCU provide specialist input, assessment and short to medium term therapeutic interventions/case management to assist clients in their recovery journey.

We currently have an outstanding career opportunity for an experienced mental health nurse to work in a Registered Psychiatric Nurse role, to work within our rehabilitation and recovery team. This is a part-time (0.8 EFT) role working a seven day rotating roster.

About You

As an experienced RPN, you will have demonstrated skills in providing care and support to the CCU consumers. You will have demonstrated people skills, able to manage day to day work load of an RPN in a residential rehabilitation setting. This is an excellent career path for a suitably qualified professional looking to advance their clinical and team building skills who is committed to delivering a client-focussed service. You will have access to resources to support you in this position, enabling you to further advance your clinical skills whilst representing role model nursing excellence and delivering an exceptional client care. You are confident and lateral thinker who can adapt to any given situation in a calm, considered and resolution driven approach. This is a part time (0.8 EFT) role working a seven day rotating roster.

What you need

  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Proven clinical experience – minimum 2 years in Mental Health
  • Post Graduate Qualifications in Mental Health
  • Relevant working visa
