About our Medical infusion Unit at MMC

We provide transfusion support and chemotherapy to patients with Haemoglobinopathies and Haematological Malignancies. The unit also performs Red cell and Plasma exchange and administer a variety of infusions to patients with various chronic diseases such as MS, CIDP, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Kidney Disease and Inflammatory Bowel Disease. We also provide transfusion support to paediatric patients with Thalassaemia and Sickle Cell Disease.

About the Role

We are seeking dynamic and motivated RN’s to work in our Medical Infusion Unit.

We have recruited some amazing nurses and have further opportunities for staff to experience our new unit at Clayton.

We have 12 month maternity leave positions for nurses working 4-5 days per week.

Monday to Saturday, shifts are: 0700-1530, 0930-1800, 1200-2030.

About You:

You are a dynamic and motivated RN who is looking to support patients with varied medical conditions and learn valuable new skills.

You lead by example, thrive working in a dynamic, fast paced environment and are truly passionate about delivering a high standard of evidence based nursing care to all patients. You are ready to be part of a truly dynamic and growing service at Monash Health. You are also an advocate of Monash Health’s Strategic Guiding Principles.

What You Need:

The following criteria is highly desirable:

  • IV cannulation skills
  • Experience administering chemo an advantage but training will be provided
  • Have completed ADAC training or are in the process of completing
  • Have completed or are completing post graduate studies in Haematology/Oncology/Cancer/Palliative Care an advantage
  • The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
  • Be an exceptional communicator, with excellent communication skills
