The Opportunity

This position will see you supporting the business operations, delivery of programs and administration of Council’s Family & Children Services department. You will work alongside the team to support services that enhance the health, wellbeing and ongoing development of children, young people and their families within Moonee Valley.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Early Years Regional Team Leader, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Providing quality administrative support to the activities that support the successful delivery of programs within the department;
  • Contributing to the development of systems, processes and policies which improve the efficiency, effectiveness and integration of administration activities;
  • Ensuring the accuracy, availability and distribution of relevant information to all stakeholders, including staff, families, the community and relevant agencies as required;
  • Assisting with processing and maintaining of documentation relating to the Licensing of Registered Children’s Services as per the National Education and Care Quality framework; and,
  • Providing high level customer service to all stakeholders interfacing with the department, including internal partners.

Skills & Experience

  • Certificate III in Business Administration or related field together with relevant experience in a similar administration role;
  • Demonstrated competence in word processing, data entry, databases and spreadsheets (specifically Microsoft Office suite of applications);
  • Experience in the use of QikKids, CRM and Pathway, Content Manager (TRIM) and TechOne would be an advantage;
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills and the ability to convey appropriate information to relevant audiences;
  • Demonstrated professional work ethic regarding resource management and maintaining confidentiality working with sensitive and private information;
  • Understanding of Child Safe Organisations and responsibility to customers and community;
  • Current Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain.
