The Manager, Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) and Psychosocial Services will lead the commissioning of AOD and psychosocial services and play a key role in leading the engagement (including for codesign) with consumer representatives, service providers and other stakeholders across the North Western Melbourne PHN region. The manager will lead a small team to support the translation of strategic objectives and a continuous improvement approach including collaboration with other teams to support a service system that is responsive to consumers, families and the broader community.

A typical week for the Manager would involve:

  • Leading and applying best-practice project management methodologies to ensure timely achievement of deliverables and performance targets
  • Working with key stakeholders to inform and develop strategy implementation and maintain meaningful engagement
  • Managing the development of a range of plans and reports to meet the requirements of NWMPHN, the Commonwealth, State and other funders, as relevant
  • Overseeing other planning and project activities as part of the AOD and Psychosocial team and the organisation more broadly

We are looking for someone with:

  • Demonstrated experience in relationship and contract management and developing systems that support the monitoring and implementation of programs and projects
  • Leadership and management skills and experience, particularly leading through change
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and an ability to form effective professional relationships and networks with a broad range of stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience of the primary mental health, psychosocial and/or AOD systems
