MPS Law Pty Ltd

MPS Law is inviting applications from highly skilled lawyers to join our boutique practice.

About us

Founded in 2016 as a sole practitioner practice, MPS Law is a boutique practice specialising in native title, commercial law, dispute resolution and the NDIS. We have already achieved landmark results for our clients and are proud of our reputation as dedicated experts who do the right thing. Indeed, we live and work by three core ideals; respect, excellence and simplicity.

MPS Law has exciting projects nation-wide and is rapidly growing, with an agile team of passionate lawyers and support staff. We are now looking to better support our talented team of lawyers by expanding our administration services through a newly created office assistant role.

We reward exceptional performance and show our commitment to continual learning by strongly supporting ongoing professional development. Team members want to keep working with us.

About the role

The role will be to assist our existing administration support team and lawyers. That assistance will be in relation to diligent document and file management, professional responses to client enquiries by phone and email and minute taking.

Travel may be required from time-to-time to support projects in remote and isolated locations around Australia.

Effective communication skills and high standards of written work are important to the role, and we are happy to support the right candidate to grow their professional skills relevant to the delivery of expert legal services.

The role is full time, based in Adelaide.

About you

We will warmly welcome a motivated team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills, who has a track record of professionalism and courtesy.

As a minimum, you will have a high proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Word and be able to properly use other software and technology. Experience in working in an office environment will be viewed favorably. Experience in a law firm will be even better, but is not essential. We will support formal training to support the ongoing professional development for the right candidate.

Your referees will attest to your solid work ethic and professional behaviour, and your willingness to learn will be obvious in your CV. Success in this role will require initiative and a commitment to work effectively as a team. Importantly, you will be able to demonstrate your respect for our clients, particularly our First Nations clients.
