Moree Plains Shire Council currently has a rewarding opportunity for a Community Development/Liaison Officer to join the Council.

  • Permanent full time – 35 hours per week
  • Location Moree

About the role

The Community Development/Liaison Officer will manage engagement with State Agencies and Not for Profits in the Community Development area, to assist in the achievement of social plans as an integrated part of Council's planning processes.

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2020, Band 2 Level 2 Grade 11 Step 1 $1,251.45 to Step 3 $1,345.35 in Council’s Salary System, depending on qualifications and experience.

 About you

You will hold qualifications at Diploma level in Community Development / relevant equivalent qualifications (Note: Considerable relevant practical experience and other relevant qualifications may be taken into account as being equivalent but may result in appointment at a lower level) in addition to experience working in and/or with community groups or organisations and/or government and non-governmental agencies.

It is also essential that you have a current NSW Working with children check clearance and a class C Driver's Licence.
