ABOUT THE ROLE

This role of the Enhanced Maternal Child Health Nurse is to provide support for families who are experiencing significant early parenting challenges, assist with improving skills and confidence in parenting, and provide linkages to other agencies.

To be successful in this role you will have a current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife. You will also hold recognised qualifications in Maternal and Child Health Nursing.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 5 years experience as a Maternal and Child Health Nurse, with an understanding of current practices and policies.
  • Demonstrated experience working with complex and highly vulnerable clients, including those experiencing mental health issues, family violence, clients within the Child Protection area.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, build and maintain relationships with a range on internal and external stakeholders
