MSIA, as part of the MSI Reproductive Choices global partnership, is unapologetically pro-choice. We believe that every person has the right to make choices about their own body and their own future. As one of the world’s leading providers of contraception and safe abortion care, MSI gives women and individuals of all sexual and gender orientations the means to do so. Working across 37 countries, MSI provides high quality, safe services, and advocate to create an enabling environment, so every client has safe access to services when and where they are needed. When people can determine their own future, they can contribute to creating a better, more sustainable future for everyone.
MSI is committed to creating an inclusive environment with a workforce which is representative of the communities we serve. We’re proud to be an equal opportunities employer and give equal consideration to all qualified applicants without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or age. We operate across diverse cultural and global regions and want to actively contribute to building a more diverse and inclusive MSIA team. We are committed to promoting equality and safeguarding the welfare of all team members and clients, with a focus on vulnerable groups.
The Project Officer is responsible for the effective project management of a portfolio of large scale, multi-country DFAT projects. Currently this consists of EMPOWER (Gender Empowerment in Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar), RESPOND (Addressing SRH impacts of Covid-19 across 9 MSI countries) and ANCP (Australian NGO Cooperation Program in 3 MSI countries).
The role ensures that projects within this portfolio are well managed and reported on in line with DFAT and MSIA requirements. The focus of the position is on coordination, project management, grant administration and compliance. This role works closely with county programs to understand donor requirements, monitor project deliverables, and plays an important role in improving the capacity of country programs to meet donor commitments. The Project Officer has a lead role in planning and implementing the annual project cycle and liaising with DFAT for the ANCP program.
In addition to the above, this role may from time to time be required to support business development and communications to support the External Relations team. This position requires flexibility with work hours during travel periods and working with stakeholders across multiple time zones.
We want individuals who support our mission of eliminating unsafe abortion by 2030 and who work with us to build an enabling environment to increase access to safe services everywhere. We expect all team members to share our vision and commitment to achieving our mission whilst promoting equality and safeguarding the welfare of all clients and colleagues.
