About the role

The Risk & Quality Advisor’s primary responsibilities are to support the Risk & Quality Manager to monitor and report on enterprise risk and support leaders to ensure regulatory obligations are met. The role will also support the implementation and on-going monitoring of the Quality Management Framework to ensure practice excellence and continuous improvement.

Role requirements may include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Monitor and report on incidents and trends and to ensure Risk and Quality activities are actioned.
  • Support the delivery of training for leaders and as required, in the areas of Risk and Quality Management, including systems, procedures, and legislation.
  • Assist the Risk & Quality Manager to maintain a Quality Control and Risk Register within RISKMAN©, report to senior leaders and set corrective actions for improvement.
  • Coach, train and empower managers and employees in the implementation of Risk and Quality initiatives to continuously mitigate risk and improve our customer experience and safeguarding.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory requirements and support the Risk & Quality Manager to assure organisational compliance, including adherence to Quality frameworks including the NDIS Commission Quality & Safeguarding Framework.
  • Support enterprise strategic and operational risk reviews with stakeholders and monitoring of corrective actions.
  • Conduct internal risk-based audit activities to support organisational assurance of legislative, regulatory, contractual and organisational requirements.

About you

The successful applicant will possess:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent skills and knowledge in Risk Management, Quality Management.
  • Demonstrated experience within a Risk and/or Quality field.
  • Demonstrated experience in the ability to audit compliance with legislation and standards.
  • Understanding of quality accreditation processes, business excellence and continuous improvement processes.
  • Articulate communicator, with well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • A collaborative working style with the ability to influence and foster positive functional relationships.
  • Ability to educate and build capability with Risk and Quality activities across the business.
  • Strong analytical ability, with the inherent skills to manipulate data to identify trends and prepare concise, credible recommendations in a digestible format to support organisational monitoring and reporting.
  • Experience and ability to utilise and work with Risk and Quality systems, and identify system and process improvements to streamline the administrative effort across these functions.

Mandatory requirement

Please note that the successful applicant will be required to hold a current QLD Driver’s Licence, Positive Notice Card from Disability Services (Yellow Card), Working with Children Check (Blue card) and in some circumstances National Criminal History check prior to beginning your employment. You must also have NDIS Worker Orientation certificate completed before commencing.

Salary sacrifice + Meal entertainment

Attractive Salary packaging including $15,900 packaging limit per FBT year (1 April- 31 March) and $2,550 per year for meals and entertainment expenses.
