Have you ever considered sharing a home with a person with a disability?

My Place is an organisation that works in partnership with each person with a disability to pursue the lifestyle of their choice and to have their individual needs met by people they choose and trust.

My Place is currently looking for co-residents to move in with and provide live-in support to a person with a disability. Whilst previous experience is not essential, it is highly preferred. As well as a genuine desire to share your life and be prepared to work to make a positive difference by enriching someone else’s life, as well as your own.

The role will involve assisting the consumer with all aspects of daily life such as domestic support, mealtime management, shopping, accessing the community. My Place will provide any training required as well as ongoing support from one of our Coordinators.

A positive attitude to people with a disability, good communication skills, a Worker Screening Clearance and Drivers Licence and Certificate of completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation module are essential.
