Aboriginal Peak Organisations of the Northern Territory (APO NT) is an alliance comprising the North Australian Aboriginal Justice Agency (NAAJA), Central Land Council (CLC), Northern Land Council (NLC), Anindilyakwa Land Council (ALC), Tiwi Land Council (TLC), Aboriginal Medical Services Alliance of the NT (AMSANT), Aboriginal Housing NT (AHNT) and NT Indigenous Business Network (NT IBN).

The alliance was created to provide a more effective response to key issues of joint interest and concern affecting Aboriginal people in the Northern Territory, including through advocating practical policy solutions to government.

NAAJA currently auspice APO NT funds under direction from the APO NT Governing Committee.

APO NT are seeking a Program Support Officer to join their team.

The right candidate will have:

• Proven ability to communicate effectively and sensitively in a cross-cultural environment having respect for Aboriginal cultural values, conventions, and practices.
• Well-developed oral and written communication skills with proven ability to take minutes, undertake limited research activity and provide updates.
• Demonstrated experience in administrative and program support positions, including experience in records management, travel and accommodation bookings, and meeting document preparation.
• An ability to be innovative and take initiative to achieve sound results with limited direction, using good time management skills and task prioritisation.
