NAAJA is seeking a Youth Lawyer to join our Darwin Criminal Law team. This is a fixed-term contract to 30 June 2023.

The youth practice aims to provide holistic services to young people by addressing both their legal issues and the broader social setting which has led to their involvement in the criminal justice system. It draws upon this experience to advocate for systemic change in youth justice issues.

 The right candidate will have:

  • 2+ years post-admission experience
  • Experience in criminal law
  • Excellent communication skills, including in cross-cultural settings 

The position offers attractive employment benefits including:

  • Salary of CrimLO1.1 $67,312 – CrimLO2.2 $78,239 per annum (dependent on experience) plus superannuation
