Neami National has partnered with the Larrakia Nation to deliver a new Adult Mental Health Centre (AMHC) in Darwin.

Service delivery will reflect principals of Trauma Informed Care and Recovery Oriented practices and be guided by extensive co-design processes. The CSM will set a culture within the workplace that promotes Dignity, Respect, and Inclusion for all.

The Adult Mental Health Centre will provide a holistic approach to care, addressing a range of social, physical, and emotional needs informed by the Collaborative Recovery Model (CRM) and supported by best practice in evidence-based and evidence informed care. The AMHC will adhere to the principles of the Gayaa Dhuwi (Proud Spirit) Declaration and will work with our partners, the Larrakia Nation in the development and delivery of services to ensure culturally safe services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

About the Role

The Clinical Service Manager (CSM) will lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver a range of services to adults experiencing emotional distress, crises, mental ill health and/or addiction, and to their families, support people and carers through a “no wrong door” approach.

The AMHC team will be made up of Clinicians and non-clinical staff providing Social and Emotional Wellbeing Supports, Psychosocial Support, and Peer Support.

The AMHC will receive referrals from GP’s in the area, public mental health services, community organisations as well as self-referrals from members of the community. The multidisciplinary team will screen referrals to determine suitability, assess individual needs and assist access to appropriate services delivered by the team and other community and health providers.

  • Full Time, Maximum term contract until 30 June 2023
  • Located at the Adult Mental Health Centre in Darwin, Northern Territory
  • HPSS Level 3 or Nurse Level 3 (Above Award salary with generous salary packaging and NFP)

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Qualified in one of the following disciplines: Registered Psychologist, Occupational Therapist or Registered Nurse
  • Current annual practicing certificate from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or a Social Worker with eligibility to register with the Australian Association of Social Worker
  • Criminal record check required before commencement of employment
  • Working with Children
