About the Role

  • Part Time 0.6FTE (3 days per week)
  • Permanent role
  • 11am to 7pm preferred
  • Competitive salary based on skills and experience

The GP role requires primary healthcare assessments, diagnosis and treatment plans within a recovery-oriented framework. In collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, the guest and family and carers the GP will draw on their discipline skills to provide high quality assessments and intervention plans aimed at improving the mental health and physical health outcomes for guests accessing the service.

About Head to Health Service

The Head to Health Geelong centre is an exciting new service which provides the Geelong community an alternative service to attend when experiencing mental health crisis. Service delivery will reflect principals of Trauma Informed Care and Recovery Oriented practice. The Head to Health Geelong service will provide a holistic approach to care, addressing a range of social, physical, and emotional needs informed by the Collaborative Recovery Model (CRM) and supported by best practice in evidence-based and evidence informed care. The Head to Health Geelong service will have a strong focus on lived experience and will support a high engagement, multi-disciplinary crisis model.

You will have:

  • Clinical Registration – you must have General AHPRA registration to be eligible to apply
  • Must hold indemnity insurance
  • Relevant clinical experience working within a rehabilitation/recovery setting is desirable
  • Desire to continue to grow and build the primary health care services within the Head to Health service

Mandatory requirements:

  • Neami National will require, as part of our condition of employment, that all candidates applying for any position must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (or have received one dose of an approved COVID-19 vaccine and have a scheduled appointment to receive their second dose.)
  • Candidates will be required to provide appropriate evidence of COVID-19 vaccination to Neami National.
  • Current Vic Working with Children Check
  • Police check (refer to PD) – disclosable outcomes considered
  • Willingness to undergo a Disability Worker’s Exclusion Scheme (DWES) Check
  • A valid Australian Driver's License
