  • CSD Level 5 from $91,772 - $95,835

Neami National have established Towards Home+ as part of the Victorian Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Action Plan (2018). In Geelong, the service is being delivered in full partnership with DHHS, Launch Housing, Bolton Clarke, Wathaurong Aboriginal Co-operative, Uniting AOD & Mental Health services and Melbourne City Mission . The services Neami delivers in Geelong are:

  • Assertive outreach team with flexible brokerage
  • Supportive housing team

These services take a continuum approach towards homelessness and rough sleeping underpinned by recovery orientation and trauma informed practice. These services incorporate assertive street level outreach and engagement and intensive case management.

As the Service Manager you will:

  • Work collaboratively with partners to improve and develop the overall service response to people rough sleeping and experiencing homelessness
  • Play a key role in service development, including ongoing evaluation and review of service outcomes
  • Manage the Funding Agreement and Neami National Service budget including monitoring progress against financial targets and ensuring priorities and service levels are met
  • Initiate, lead and coordinate strategic partnerships to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for consumers
  • Lead, coach and mentor your team

What you will need to bring to the role:

As the Service Manager, your experience managing a team, inclusive of associate staff, in a rapidly changing environment will be pivotal to your overall success. You will be able to approach tasks in a calm and logical manner and have extensive experience in partnership development. You will be able to make hard decisions when required but your management style will be more about building your team members capacity, coaching and supporting them to develop their skills and become leaders of the future.

Skills we are looking for:

  • Extensive Knowledge of mental health and homelessness programs in the region
  • Experience leading a team in a complex environment
  • Experience in managing financials and budgets
  • Ability to form relationships with external organisations
  • Ability and willingness to work effectively as part of a team, to meet program goals and objectives.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Be able to work with individuals from diverse and unique backgrounds
  • Be an honest and transparent individual

Mandatory requirements:

  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Australian Working Rights
  • Drivers licence
  • Police check (refer to PD) – disclosable outcomes considered
  • A Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme Check will be undertaken prior to commencement
