Neami National has partnered with the Larrakia Nation to deliver a new Adult Mental Health Centre (AMHC) in Darwin, Northern Territory.
The Darwin AMHC will provide an entry point for adults experiencing distress or crisis, including those at heightened risk of suicide. People engaged with the service will have access to short to medium term targeted care and support, psychoeducation, and support to access other relevant services.
Service delivery will reflect principals of Trauma Informed Care and Recovery Oriented practices and be guided by an extensive co-design processes.
The AMHC will adhere to the principles of the Gayaa Dhuwi (Proud Spirit) Declaration and will work with our partners, the Larrakia Nation in the development and delivery of services to ensure culturally safe services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Indigenous workers and workers with a lived experience of recovery and mental health challenges are encouraged to apply.
