About the opportunity

The Orange Door is a new way of working, providing family violence and child wellbeing support for adults, children and young people.

The Family Violence Practitioner - Perpetrator Services will provide screening, assessment, triage and short-term response to all incoming referrals for men who use violence, keeping perpetrators in view and accountable for their actions and behaviour.

The Practitioner will work in close partnership with other Practitioners to work towards increasing the safety of women and children experiencing family violence whilst complying with the Information Share Legislation and utilising the MARAM Framework.

To be successful in this role, you will have met the following Selection Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications and experience in Social Work, Welfare studies, Psychology, Counselling, Family Therapy or similar (essential).
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Social Science - Family Violence stream or similar training in working with Family Violence (preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience in men's family violence practice within complex service delivery contexts.
  • Passionate about your work.
  • Positive, can-do attitude.
  • Willingness to learn and work in a team environment.
