The General Manager is the senior role for this small, exciting and culturally important organisation and reports directly to the Executive Committee.

THE ORGANISATION

The organisation is a not for profit organisation and has two major responsibilities:

  • Mandated representative body of some Community Organisations in Victoria
  • Accredited Ethno-Specific Aged Care Provider

THE POSITION

This role optimises organisational performance, growth and sustainability through successful implementation of plans and strategies as determined by the Executive Committee.

Leading a small and effective team, delivering high quality community aged care services that meet the Aged Care and Disability Standards, responsibilities of the role also include asset and resources management, promotional activities and general reporting to the Executive Committee.

This is a full time five day per week Monday to Friday role based in Melbourne.

THE DNA OF WHOM WE SEEKING

Ideally you will have:

  • an appreciation and respect of other cultures
  • former Community Aged Care/ Home Care sector experience and working knowledge of Aged Care and Disability Standards
  • business or clinical or social services qualifications
  • former leadership, business development and stakeholder engagement experience working in a Community or not for profit sector organisation
  • financial management and budgeting experience
  • project management and change leadership skills
  • proven initiator, innovator and problem solver
