The Organisation

Suicide Prevention Australia is the membership based peak body working to build a stronger suicide prevention sector, a more aware and engaged community, and a more effective regulatory and funding environment. Suicide Prevention Australia engages with member organisations, governments, businesses, researchers, practitioners and those with lived experience seeking to reduce the impact of suicide on the community. Suicide Prevention Australia has a Sydney based head-office but you could work virtually from anywhere.

The Role

Reporting to the Director of Communications and Media Relations, you would be responsible for:

  • Leading the full campaign cycle, including content, art-work, branding and media
  • Develop and implement strategic approaches to achieve audience reach targets and change outcomes
  • Work with the Director to manage effective media relations, to support consistent key message delivery and increase engagement
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to produce timely materials and support public health campaigns
  • Generate content for websites, social media channels and member communications

Skills Required

You will have qualifications in communications or marketing, with 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar campaign focused role and have:

  • Understanding and experience of public health campaigns
  • Proficient in digital marketing and social media
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to lead campaigns and produce reports linked to KPIs
  • Display strong aptitude in creative thinking and design flare
