The Role

Reporting to the CEO you will play a pivotal role in commissioning and managing evidence generation. You will lead synthesis and evaluation activities that will translate into policy and action, whilst ensuring the research commissioned is independent, grounded by evidence, is of high-quality and contributes to the systemic change framework. You will lead an innovative policy evaluation project as part of a multi-disciplinary team that will help build the Australian evidence base.

Specifically you will:

  • Identify and manage impactful, high quality research and evaluation collaborations
  • Conduct research that ensures the policy, advocacy, programs, communications and public campaigns are evidence based and current
  • Represent TFP at research, evaluation and policy forums
  • Lead internal systems change monitoring, evaluation and learning strategy
  • Develop collaborative relationships with a range of internal, external and government stakeholders

Skills Required

You have a proven record of accomplishment in research in similarly complex environments and are a relationship driven operator with an analytical systems change mindset.

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • Significant experience undertaking, commissioning and reporting on research
  • Sound ability to work across various research methodologies (qualitative and quantitative) and effectively synthesise information and iterating evaluation strategies
  • Ability to build trusted relationships and collaboration within your team and stakeholders
  • High-level communication & organisational skills with a proven capability to translate evidence to inform policy, practice and action
