The Independent Tertiary Education Council Australia (ITECA), established in 1992, is a membership-based peak body bringing together independent providers in the higher education, vocational education and training sectors.

The Role

Reporting to the manager – membership quality for day to day operational tasks and daily contact with chief executive regarding strategy, this role is primarily responsible for achieving sales targets across the range of membership categories by executing various outbound phone sales campaigns. The role requires maintaining contact and proactive engagement with non-members to promote membership and events.

  • Establishing new relationships, pursuing business opportunities whilst promoting benefits to prospective members
  • Record all sales and lead activity in the CRM and prepare membership quotes as required
  • Provide accurate, concise and timely communication to members and non-members in order to support and drive informed purchasing decisions
  • Work with the membership team to maximise member recruitment and retention strategies whilst meeting and exceeding targets relating to revenue and profit margin

Skills Required

You are a driven sales achiever with a proven track record offering experience within a sales and or business development role, ideally from within a membership based organisation or B2B sales.

  • Demonstrated record of consistently meeting & exceeding sales targets & KPI’s
  • Experience in new business development and strategic relationships
  • Ability to develop and maintain client relationships ensuring a high quality service
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and influential skills
  • Experience in maintaining detailed records of leads and opportunities
