As one of the six integrated services streams of Family Services Australia (FSA), FSA Psychology is a trusted provider of mental health support and wellbeing.

FSA Psychology’s Head to Health services have launched with the support of COORDINARE (South Eastern NSW Primary Health Network).

This services provides a comprehensive and integrated community service across all ages and increases and meets the mental health needs observed the community.

The Role

Reporting to the Clinical Services Manager this position incorporates care coordination and counselling services to customers with a wide range of mental health presentations.

Specifically you will:

  • Manage a caseload of counselling/care coordination
  • Employ a range of best practice skills within an approved Therapeutic Practice Framework (TPF)
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments and identify needs for short term and longer term support
  • Present case management outcomes on a regular basis to the Clinical Services Manager
  • Represent FSA, as needed, at networking events, health services, meetings, conference, seminar, community forums and cross-sector initiatives

Skills Required

You’re currently working as a fully registered psychologist or a social worker who has or is working towards mental health registration. The successful candidate will have a high level of emotional competency, reflective practice and self-care. The key to your success in this role will also include:

  • Registration with Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) or the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), Working with Children Check (WWCC) and drivers licence
  • Experience working from a trauma-informed, strengths and attachment framework, providing a high standard of care in face to face and telehealth modalities
  • Ability to plan and coordinate individualised evidence-based assessments and interventions
  • Capacity to manage caseloads with varied and diverse presentations
