The Organisation

Seniors Rights Service has been assisting older Australians as the leading provider of legal services, aged care advocacy, rights education and information to seniors in NSW, since 1986. Seniors Rights Service provides support and resourcing to older people to know and assert their rights.

They have a free legal service, aged care advocacy and education service and they provide social support and deliver community education and information of relevance to older people across NSW.

The Role

This is a newly created executive leadership position, working closely with the CEO and the executive team. It offers advice and provides high level administrative and operational support to ensure the effectiveness of programs and the organisation.

This role is responsible for managing a small multidisciplinary team across marketing and communications, facilities and finance, information and communication technologies, and Salesforce and payroll functions.

You will:

  • advise and manage financial matters and help with budgets and financial projections
  • analyse complex issues and develop solutions in the form of plans and strategies
  • prepare reports and submissions about the organisation's resources and operations
  • develop policies, rules and guidelines for the whole organisation
  • manage staff development and performance

Skills Required

You will have demonstrated 'hands-on' senior leadership experience and extensive involvement with an NGO/charity in an operational senior management role. You will also have a strong understanding of contemporary communication tools and marketing strategies with the ability to lead the communication function of the organisation.

You will also possess:

  • Strategic planning, facility and resource management experience
  • Strong financial and budget management, reporting and analytical skills
  • Experience in performance reviews, monitoring, and quality assurance
  • Proven change management skills and the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment
  • Innovative thinking with demonstrated capability to work with others to problem solve
