Inner Melbourne Community Legal (IMCL) is an independent not-for-profit legal service focussed on building fairness and wellbeing in our local community through law. We pride ourselves on getting out into our community to reach those who need us most in central and inner north-west Melbourne. We improve legal outcomes for our clients, use our community’s experience to challenge unfair laws and systems and educate others about the law.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a lawyer to join a highly regarded legal centre with a reputation for innovation and partnerships.
We seek an energetic lawyer who understands the socio-legal needs of our community, and particularly those experiencing family violence. The successful candidate will have experience in family law and family violence. We pride ourselves on having broad legal capability and will develop the successful candidate in other areas of law.
This role will commence working at our North Melbourne office, with the potential for a flexible arrangement following induction and training. This position will work closely with our fun, dedicated team committed to social justice.
IMCL highly values a diverse workforce. We strongly encourage applications from First Nations people, people with disability, people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, people of all ages and people who identify as LGBTIQ+.
