NNA Direct Support Service provides an easy way for people with a disability to access tailored support services in the comfort of their own home. As an NDIS registered provider, we offer quality services to NDIS participants and caregivers across New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and South Australia.

Those who are successful through our recruitment process would have their experience, location and availability shared with Support Coordinators, people with a disability and their families in the area to match existing and future customers and staff appropriately.

We are looking for people who have a passion for helping others. We have multiple opportunities for Community Care Workers in multiple areas, and are looking for motivated and compassionate staff to join our team.

We have a variety of participants requiring assistance and your role will focus on supporting people to live their best life.

Duties and responsibilities can include:

  • Transport and community access assistance to the supermarket, work or appointments
  • Domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry
  • Grocery shopping, meal planning and safe food preparation
  • Capacity building, empowering customers to develop life skills in cooking, shopping, budgeting, finding and keeping a job
  • Supporting customers with community engagement and activities for improved social skills, interactions and relationships
  • Assistance with personal care (showering and toileting as required), grooming and hygiene; medication prompting and general self-care
  • Manual Handing experience is preferred

Successful applicants will have (or be willing to obtain):

  1. Obtained or working towards a minimum Cert III industry related qualification
  2. Proven experience in the community services sector or lived experience of supporting people with a disability or other health related conditions
  3. Their own comprehensively insured vehicle
  4. Willingness to transport participants in own vehicle (Km’s will be reimbursed)
  5. Willingness to travel to support customers living up to 1 hr away
  6. Current Driver's license
  7. A current First Aid certificate
  8. Current National Police Check
  9. Current Working with Children's Check
  10. NDIS Worker Screening Check
  11. A smart phone with internet access
  12. Recent and contactable references
  13. Availability for a range of shift times - mornings, afternoons/evenings, weekends
