The NFSWC is seeking to recruit an Executive Officer, full or part time (negotiable), salary range $96,556 – $100,419 annum/ pro rata. This is a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension.

Our Purpose: Provide a collective Aboriginal voice to drive systemic improvements in the safety and wellbeing of Noongar children and their families.

Primary Objective of Role

The primary objective of the Executive Officer (EO) is to lead development of the Noongar Family Safety and Wellbeing Council (NFSWC).

The Executive Officer will support organisational governance, lead organisational development, develop organisational plans and budgets, develop and manage partnerships, lead systemic advocacy, manage organisational sustainability and lead organisational risk management, executed in alignment with NFSWC’s Code of Conduct, policies and procedures. 

Organisation

The EO is accountable to the NFSWC Management Committee and will work under the direction of the Chairperson.

The EO is responsible for ensuring the voice of Noongar people is heard and that the rights of all Aboriginal children and families on Noongar Land are protected. The EO is responsible for developing, implementing, and delivering the strategic and operational plans for the NFSWC.

To be successful you will need demonstrated policy, research, and analytical skills together with outstanding communication skills including the ability to produce high quality reports, submissions, and plans. You will also have a sound knowledge of child protection issues, experience in the community sector, the ability to work within a community development framework, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced and changing work environment.
