About the Role

The Project Manager is responsible for the leadership of projects implementing new systems, processes and data across all aspects of the NLC operations. The position combines managerial skills with in-depth, hands-on expertise in business systems and is responsible for project delivery, system management, appropriate resourcing, staff management and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a business-focussed delivery strategy for the implementation of solutions that address the functions of the NLC.
  • Manage design, development, integration and deployment of selected technologies in collaboration with subject matter experts and service providers.
  • Prepare work plans for systems and services and supervise their delivery.
  • Oversee teams managing data and business analysis and establish detailed stakeholder, business and solution requirements.
  • Improve policy, procedure, protocols and business processes and optimise benefits for stakeholders, including staff, constituents and third parties.
  • Ensure that staff understand the rationale and benefits of enterprise-wide systems underpinned by consistent data, processes and security.
  • Manage transition to “business as usual” operations and ensure training, support, reporting and customer service arrangements meet demand.
  • Provide quality assurance, reporting and evaluation services to ensure that systems continue to align with NLC objectives.

About you

To thrive in this role you will have:

  • Significant demonstrated knowledge, understanding and respect of Indigenous Australian culture, customs and society and the ability to gain and maintain credibility with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people, communities and organisations to ensure all work produced and undertaken is culturally safe and appropriate.
  • Extensive project management experience delivering business solutions that meet the needs of a complex organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience leading change, building capacity, and managing conflict.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills and a proven ability to manage stakeholders and influence others to achieve objectives.
  • Demonstrated experience managing human resources including experience in direct supervision, mentoring, guiding and coaching staff and service providers.
  • Highly developed business analysis, critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills.

Remuneration and Benefits:

  • Full Time Permanent Contract
  • Location: Darwin
  • Salary: $101,668 - $118,142 per annum
  • Allowances, e.g. district and airfare allowances
  • FBT exempt salary packaging benefits pay
  • 13% superannuation contribution
  • 5 weeks annual leave & 17.5% annual leave loading
