ABOUT US

Ngaanyatjarra Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (NPY) Women’s Council was founded and is still led, governed and directed by women from the NPY region. It was created to give a voice to women across 26 desert communities in the cross-border regions of Western Australia, South Australia and the Northern Territory. Today, we continue to provide progressive, innovative and evidence-based work in service delivery, advocacy and support.

At its core NPY Women’s Council is about family and community – walytja. Our purpose is to work with women, children and their families of the Ngaanyatjarra, Pitjantjatjara and Yankunytjatjara region in central Australia. Our role is to work side by side and help increase their capacity to lead safe and healthy lives with improved life choices.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Based in the APY Lands and servicing either Pukatja or Amata community, we are now recruiting for Outreach Case Managers to become part of the CFWS team.

The primary function of the Outreach Case Manager is to support kinship carers in the APY lands. Providing holistic and intensive case management you will offer placement stability support to both carers and children placed in their care.

Additionally, you will work alongside Anangu families to identify and locate potential carers and support them through SA Department of Child Protection’s (DCP) assessment process. Family scoping activities will be integral to the role and will include the use of genograms and other mapping approaches

You will have a background in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology and/or Community Services and have experience in managing a caseload.
