If you would like to work for a highly recognised organisation in the human services industry with a supportive team of professional women, we are seeking your application for the full-time permanent position of Women’s Health Counsellor.

North Queensland Combined Women's Services Inc. also known as The Women's Centre, comprises a Sexual Assault Support Service, a Specialist Homelessness Service and a Women’s Health Service that provides counselling and group therapy, support, information and referral, for women experiencing emotional and psychological distress and trauma. In addition the Women’s Centre operates a Social Enterprise to support women in the community, and improve their opportunity for employment.

Suitable applicants require social science, psychology, or social work tertiary level qualifications, skills and experience in the areas of sexual assault and domestic and family violence, counselling, mental health and advocacy is desirable. It is a requirement of this position to participate in our 24 hour on-call roster as a part of a Sexual Assault Response Team.
