North Richmond Community Health (NRCH) is committed to making healthcare more accessible and culturally relevant. With the recent addition of Victoria’s first Medically Supervised Injecting Room, NRCH works with community members to support social justice principles which afford all people the right to dignity, respect, and the highest quality of care.

NRCH provides a range of medical, allied health, dental and community services to clients from all backgrounds.

The Grants Writer (Fixed term part time, 0.6 EFT) provides support to the Executive team and Program Managers through the identification of strategically appropriate grant opportunities across a wide range of grant and funding agencies. The Grant Writer will co-ordinate and work collaboratively across the organisation to develop and submit comprehensive grant proposals.

Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the development and implementation of an effective process for grant opportunities.
  • Liaise with the executive team and program managers to identify grant opportunities and implement an effective strategy to target grant and funding opportunities that align to the strategic goals of NRCH
  • Cultivate and develop relationships to improve strategic engagement with State and Federal Governments, local councils, PHN’s and philanthropic trusts and foundations.
  • Develop funding proposals and tenders, presentations and project reports.
  • Establishment of a project team with key stakeholders (content experts)

Key Selection Criteria

Essential qualifications, attributes and skills include, but are not limited to:

  • Degree in relevant field (e.g. Journalism, Arts, English, Business, Marketing, Communications, Social Sciences)
  • 5 years’ experience in grant writing within a Not for Profit environment or Health Environment
  • Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to work in a high-performance environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with defined budgets and conflicting deadlines
  • Exceptional written and oral skills
  • Exceptional relationship and people management skills

Please note it is a requirement for all employees of North Richmond Community Health to demonstrate evidence of mandatory immunisations/vaccinations prior to commencement of employment, based on the Immunisation Category their position falls under.
