About the Opportunity

The role coordinates short-term placement of health professionals across the NT to cover periods of need. The role is responsible for supporting both health services and health professionals in the delivery of the program including advertising of locum vacancies, screening, registration & credentialing of health professionals, contract administration and client relationship management. As well as providing a coordinated and professional placement experience for the Health Service and health professionals while ensuring NT PHN meet relevant legislative requirements.

The role will be expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of the program and implement processes and procedures as well as understand other program areas to provide coverage and support as needed.

About You

Reporting to the Workforce Access Team Lead – Workforce Access, the role is accountable for:

  • Work collaboratively and effectively as a member of a high-performing team, engage positively with management and all internal staff. 
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders including internal and external clients, partners and primary health care services to plan for and manage locum cover requests
  • Attraction and registration of locum health professionals to the NT locum program including credentialing of health professionals, coordination of clinical interviews and administration of contracts
  • Coordinating travel and accommodation for locum placements to meet the needs of health services
  • Financial administration including preparation, recording and reconciling of financial expenditure. 
  • Contribute to continuous service improvement activities.
